German

The course aims to build on the language foundations set in place by the study of GCSE German. Pupils will gain a much deeper understanding of how the language works, building their ability to use it for speaking and listening, and reading and writing purposes.

Pupils will study the following topics:

Aspects of German-speaking society.
Artistic culture in the German-speaking world.
Multiculturalism in German-speaking society, Aspects of political life in German-speaking society and Grammar, plus one text and one film or two texts from the list set in the specification.
