What makes us different is the people. We believe we have a very rare thing, a community. Everyone within the Sixth Form, and indeed the entire school, has respect, tolerance and a mutual understanding for one another. Our aim is for students to leave Sixth Form thinking ‘I really enjoyed that experience’ – knowing that they have been consistently encouraged and supported by the teachers and staff. Exam results are important too, but students making the most of the opportunities available to them is our real success.
Students achieve outstanding A Level results and around 70% go on to pursue University courses each year. In 2018, 43% of grades were A* – B.
We offer a wide variety of A Level and vocational subjects, and have exceptional specialist facilities for applied subjects such as ICT, Media, Photography, Music Technology, Dance and Textiles. All our students are able to study in the Sixth Form during study periods, in the two University style Learning Resource Areas.
“At Kesgrave High School Sixth Form, we welcome all students who have a genuine desire to learn, coupled with a motivation to focus and succeed. We aim to support, guide and encourage students and our results reflect both the commitment of the school and the mature approach of our students to their studies.”
