Kesgrave Sixth Form – Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge

July 2, 2026 8:52 am

During activities week, 13 Sixth Form Students are heading off to Yorkshire, with our main aim being to attempt the ‘Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge’. We are fundraising to help raise money for the Ipswich Town Football Club Foundation and Mountain Rescue.

The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge is a demanding 24-miles, that includes summiting the three highest peaks in the Yorkshire Dales: Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough. The challenge covers approximately 24 miles (38.6 km), with a total ascent of 1585 meters (5200 feet), completed in under 12 hours!
