In school on Friday 16 September, we shared a moment of reflection as a community, taking our time to reflect on the service and longevity of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. At such a moment of national significance we took strength from each other in a minute’s silence and collective act of remembrance.

Whilst the solemnity of recent national events are still very much in our thoughts, we look ahead in this week and academic year.

This week we are excited to meet the parents and carers of our Year 7 and 12 students. Year 7 Introduction Evening on Wednesday at 6.30p.m. and Year 12 Introduction Evening at 6.30p.m. These evenings offer an opportunity to share our secrets to success and in doing so ensure that the golden triangle of support is there for students every step of the way in their journey with us. During both evenings there will be a short presentation in the Thomas Theatre by key staff, followed by an opportunity to meet with the students’ Form Tutor, a key person as they start the next phase of their education.

Of course in the weeks ahead we will also be thinking ahead to the next academic year with our Open Evenings. Whether in catchment, or beyond, do join us.
