Year 6 Open Evening

October 4, 2021 8:23 am

It was lovely to see Year 11 parents and carers at our Countdown to Success evening last week. The slides from the evening, along with the Year 11 Mock Revision Guide were shared with parents and carers electronically after the event. Paper copies of the revision guide were available on the evening and students will bring home for those who were not able to attend.

This week, we are excited to open our doors for our Year 6 Open Evening. The evening starts at 5.45, running until 8.30. There will be four sittings of the Headteacher’s talk, with guided attendance, depending on primary school. These are:

6.00pm            Parents, carers and students from Bealings, Birchwood and Cedarwood Primary School.

6.45pm            Parents, carers and students from Gorseland, Martlesham and Bucklesham Primary School.

7.30pm            Parents, carers and students from Heath, Waldringfield and Nacton Primary School.

8.15pm            Parents, carers and students from non-feeder primary schools.

Prefects and Peer Mentors will be on hand to take visitors on guided tours around the site, allowing you to see all that we have to offer.

We ask that, if possible, you conduct a Lateral Flow test before coming to the event. We appreciate that not all will be familiar with this routine, but we hope that as many of you as possible will be able conduct this, as part of our protective measures at this time. At this stage we are also asking visitors to wear a mask, whilst inside the building.

Please be aware that parking on site is very limited and we encourage all families to use the opportunity to practise the walk to school, using the subway to cross the main road.
