Year 10 Parents’ Evening, Sixth Form interviews, Paris and Dance show!!!
February 24, 2023 8:51 amThis week we held our Year 10 Parents’ Evening. These evenings are an important opportunity for parents and carers to get personal feedback on how their child is progressing. This is of course the first evening which related to their Key Stage 4 studies and gives important feedback on how they have embarked on their GCSE and BTEC courses. The dats suggests that students have made an excellent start to their courses and have the potential to achieve highly at this stage in their education. We are excited for what they can achieve based on the manner in which they have started.
Of course, before half-term we met with Year 11 applicants to our Sixth Form. For those of us interviewing, it was a pleasure to hear their passion for their chosen subjects and how much they want to achieve at this stage and once they take the step into their post-16 educations. Students have high aspirations and are clearly working hard at this stage to realise their ambitions now and in the future. Being in the Sixth Form brings exciting opportunities. We are currently advertising for the Business Studies trip to France for next year and have recently welcomed the return of our English Literature and Language students after their cultural and literary experience in Paris.
Next week we are focusing on students punctuality as part of our continued awareness of the importance of attendance. Students, parents and carers will hear more about this from Miss Warfield with opportunities for rewards for impressive timeliness and presence in the weeks ahead.
Finally, next week sees our biggest dance show since pre-pandemic. I hope that you have booked your tickets. A few are still available but they are going fast.
