Wellbeing and staying connectedJanuary 25, 2021 9:25 am
Last week we launched our wellbeing model to parents, carers and students. We know that remaining physically and mentally well is even harder at the moment. We have been working on a model to create a common understanding about wellbeing with Dr Hazel Harrison, clinical psychologist and even though the launch is harder given our physical distance as a school community, we felt it important to share our approach. See my message to all our community here https://vimeo.com/502160986 and stay posted, as we release an in-depth look into each strand over the weeks ahead.
It was lovely to see Year 11 parents and carers in our virtual Parents’ Evening last week. While through the screen, it was lovely to be able to share how well Year 11 are doing despite all the challenges that they have faced this year. Next will be our re-scheduled Year 12 Parents’ Evening on Thursday 4 February.
Over the last few weeks and in the weeks ahead, parents and carers will be receiving reports of students’ academic progress. This week Year 12 received their report and next week Year 7 will be sent home. Students are maintaining progress with learning in lockdown and we want to make sure we still recognise and praise this as we would ordinarily.
Applications continue to be open for our Sixth Form for September 2021. We will be holding interviews as planned later this term.
