Trips, Achievement Assemblies and Sports Day

July 11, 2021 2:50 pm

Keep your fingers crossed for the weather this week as each year goes on their trip to celebrate their hard work and achievements across the year. Year 7 and 8 go to Pleasurewood Hills on Monday and Tuesday respectively. On Friday Year 10 go to Thorpe Park and Friday, Year 9 go to Pleasurewood Hills. We are so pleased that these events have been able to sustain.

The week of trips is punctuated by our Sports Day. We have been looking forward to this event, much missed last year in lockdown and we cannot wait to see the community come together for this inclusive and yet also competitive event. The spirit of the school community and friendly rivalry will live on as Royal, Bader, Keller, Nuffield and Hillary go head to head. Who will come out on top in the Victor and Victoria Ludorum? Just pray that the weather is kind to us!

This week we will also be holding our Achievement Assemblies. It will be great to note the success and progress made by students over the summer term and whilst these events will have to be virtual, we really want to mark how well they have done over the course of the year.

We were so sorry to have to cancel our Year 6 Liaison Day, due this Monday. We are looking forward to seeing Year 6 when they join us in September and hope to be able to welcome them to the school in a gradual return in September.

So with seven school days left, we are looking forward to marking the end of a long year and celebrating all that our students have achieved.
