Summer Term 2021

April 11, 2021 5:02 pm

Well Spring is here, but the weather over the Easter break might not have felt as such. As students and staff return for the Summer Term we are looking forward to the lighter days and opportunities for bringing activities back to school as hopefully COVID restrictions ease somewhat. We are very much hoping to be able to manage some of the usual summer activities, albeit in a smaller scale way. As soon as we think this is possible we will communicate with students, parents and carers as to our plans.

As we return this week, all our safety measures remain in place, following government guidance, including the wearing of masks in classrooms and corridors. Current government guidance states that this will be reviewed by 17 May.

Whilst the Spring Term was an unusual one, we still managed to capture some of the extraordinary and the ordinary in our termly newsletter, Acclaim. If you missed out, please have a look at what we got up to Acclaim Spring 2021.

Meanwhile, Year 11 and 13 students return to school for their last half-term of this stage of their education. They have worked so hard, and continue to do so, as we gather evidence of their knowledge and skills, which will support the grades they achieve this summer.

We hope that all members of our school community can see hope and light in the road ahead, as we enter the Summer Term.
