Start of term and what’s on in the weeks ahead

September 5, 2021 2:15 pm

We are looking forward to welcoming all students back for the start of term in earnest on Monday. Our Year 7, 11 and 13 made a fabulous impression on Friday, arriving eager to learn and looking the part. I am looking forward to greeting them all face to face in assemblies, a point of contact with students that I sorely missed in my first year at Kesgrave. Being able to see students in person to share our ethos and values, as well as key information, has been sorely missed by us all.

I have also missed meeting parents and carers in a physical sense too. Whilst we have learnt much about other ways of working that are more beneficial, like our online Parents’ Evenings, we still want to make sure that we give parents and carers opportunities to come into school at salient points in the year. This will start with the follow evenings of information and connection in the weeks ahead. We will be sharing more details about the content and format of these evenings to parents and carers shortly.

Thursday 16 September     Year 10         Being successful at Key Stage 4

Wednesday 22 September Year 7           Year 7 Induction Evening

Thursday 30 September     Year 11         Coundown to success: advice for the year ahead

Thursday 7 October             Year 6           Main School Open Evening

Thursday 21 October           Year 11         Sixth Form Open Evening
