Spring term feedbackFebruary 1, 2021 7:36 am
Our heartfelt thanks go to all our parents and carers at this time. You are doing a great job supporting the students of Kesgrave High School with their learning. The feedback from teachers on students engagement is so positive and really has been lovely to hear how creative students are being with their work. From drama to technology, music to science, or English to Mathematics, students are working hard and enjoying the connection with their teachers in the “lesson time”. Do get in touch if you are struggling. We are here to help and we want every student to maintain their studies as much as possible at this time.
It is the time of year when we write reports for students, reflecting upon one term under their belt. Year 7, 13 and 11 have had all received reports in the last few weeks. This week Year 10 will be able to consider the start that they have made to their GCSE and BTEC studies and Year 9, their progress as they approach their Options choices later this term.
On Thursday evening teachers will meet virtually with parents and carers of Year 12 students in their first Parents’ Evening. As students reach the halfway point of the academic year and their chosen post-16 pathway, this is an opportune moment to give feedback, praise the start they have made, but also give advice on how to improve. With plenty of the school year left, there is more than enough time to action those next steps.
Look out for the next instalment of Wellbeing Wednesday. Last week Miss Rush gave advice on Be Connected, https://vimeo.com/505306087, the importance of strengthening and broadening the links and communication with those around you. This week’s theme, Be Open, will share strategies for being resilient and facing new things.
