After a weekend of much sporty excitement, the excitement is building for our own day of sports, next Wednesday. Our Sports Day combines a chance to allow our competitive sporting students to excel and compete, alongside an inclusive feel where the contribution and inclusion of every student makes a difference to the house totals and community feel of the day. Fingers crossed for the weather.

This week we will be sharing our welcome video with Year 6 parents and carers. We are sorry that we cannot meet them on the school site but we are looking forward to welcoming them and their daughter or son into our school. Our Year 6 transition day is going ahead and is scheduled for Monday 12 July. We hope that this video will set the scene for September for parents and carers.

This week, Year 12 complete the second week of their induction. Last week it was great to see them at school, embarking upon their A Level and BTEC studies. Students enthused about their lessons and seemed to enjoy the team-building and study skills sessions. One student I spoke to at the end of the week said “It has been great, it is really going to help me hit the ground running in September.”
