Sixth Form Progression

January 23, 2022 5:46 pm

As we approach February, students in our Year 11 and from other schools are getting their applications in for consideration of a Sixth Form place next September. Numbers look great and with over 40 Level 3 courses, mainly A Level but some BTEC and other vocational courses, there is a world to choose from. Should you have any enquiries about your application please contact our Sixth Form team on 6thformoffice@kesgrave.suffolk.sch.uk

Students achieve outstanding A Level results and around 70% go on to pursue University courses each year. An increasing number go onto degree and higher apprenticeships, as well as full-time employment. This week sees the UCAS deadline for September 2022 entry.

This week sees the continuation of the external examinations for Year 10, 11, 12 and 13 modular courses. Students have been working hard in preparation for these and we hope that they are able to demonstrate all that they have learnt. Good luck to those facing exams this week.

Next week sees the start of our Year 9 Examinations Week. This will provide early practice in longer, more synoptic assessments and will give students a good benchmark as they near the end of Key Stage 3 and select their GCSE Options. Students received their guide to this assessment week, including revision materials and resources. If your child is in Year 9 you should have received an electronic copy of this; should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
