Sixth Form Open Evening

October 16, 2021 9:50 am

This week we look forward to the first stage in supporting students to consider their post-16 pathways in our Sixth Form Open Evening. Get a first-hand insight to life in our Sixth Form on Thursday 21 October. There will be talks at 6.30 and 7.30 in our Thomas Theatre. Alongside this you are invited to talk to specialist staff and current students about what we offer. With around 50 A Level and BTEC Level 3 courses to chose from, there is something for everyone. See our dedicated Sixth Form page and prospectus.

Last week a number of our students had great sporting success, as they completed in fixtures and the Autumn Cross Country event. Congratulations to our Under 12 Girls Football team in particular, with a confident 9-0 victory against Coplestone. Why not follow our Twitter feed to keep up to date with all our news on the sports field and in the classroom @kesgravehigh.

On Thursday this week, students will be raising money for Suffolk Accident and Rescue Service, as they hold the first non-uniform day of the year. There will be an assembly led by School Council students, sharing the work that the charity does and hence why they have chosen it.

Well one to all our students for their commitment to learning and wider school life this half-term. It has been great to get school back to some form of normal and we have been so impressed by their energy and enthusiasm. Special mention in this half-term goes to our Prefects and Peer Mentors who have resumed duties around the school site, supporting younger students and really rising to their new responsibilities.
