Mock Examinations, Year 9 Options and much more

February 21, 2021 9:48 am

We hope that all our community had chance to relax and recharge over the half-term. Students and staff worked so hard in such different circumstances in the first half of the Spring Term.

On the Friday before half-term, staff had a training day, but alongside this senior members of staff interviewed internal applicants for our Sixth Form. The numbers of students hoping to stay to study with us in the Sixth Form is higher than ever and all those interviewing commented on the maturity and level of preparation of Year 11 students for their interviews. It was an absolute pleasure to talk to young people who have remained motivated to learn, despite the hurdles that they have faced. Evidence from current work shows that Year 11 look set to achieve some super results, definitely hard earnt over the last two years. To hear them talk about wider reading and interests that shape their post-16 choices and beyond was an absolute delight.

We know that lots of school community follow our Twitter feed https://twitter.com/KesgraveHigh . Keep an eye on our feed for our pride in the work of our students. During half-term we posted some amazing work by our Year 10 and 11 Art and Photography students. If you missed it, you missed out, catch up here https://vimeo.com/511668257
