Lest we forgetNovember 1, 2020 12:04 pm
I hope that all our readers had a restful half-term break. It has been so good to be back at school and see students learning in the classroom. We know, from the government announcement on Saturday 31 October, that there are more difficult times ahead, but we will continue to offer the best possible educational provision to our young people.
In case you missed them, take a look at our videos produced last half-term, giving parents and carers an insight into life at Kesgrave High School.

Our subject specific videos and resources, giving you an insight into what it means to study subjects such as Sociology, French, Engineering, History and more, will be available shortly on our website – we will keep you posted as they go live.

In the week ahead we will be sending guidance to Year 13 parents and carers about how our Virtual Parents’ Evening will work. This will give parents and carers the normal opportunity to book appointments online with students’ subject teachers, but through a virtually managed system. This face to face connection is important to us. After conducting with our Year 13 we hope to use this for other year groups.
Next week we will hold a virtual Remembrance Service in school, recognising a minute’s silence with others around the county, as we remember those who gave so much for the freedoms that we enjoy today. I suspect that this will never have felt as poignant.
For now, we wish all our readers a happy half-term ahead, in which we hope to continue to do our best for our young people.
