Cup finals and Awards Evening

May 2, 2022 4:10 pm

We hope all our readers had a lovely bank holiday weekend.

It was wonderful to see students, parents and carers for our Year 11 Awards Evening last week. Around 80 students received awards for their effort and achievement over the course of the last two years. Some schools hold such evenings in the Autumn, after the examinations have taken place and results have been “counted and verified”. However, with a couple of weeks to go before the examinations start we wanted to acknowledge and mark the progress that these young people have made, making sure that they feel proud of all that they have achieved in the last few years. They step into the final stages of their Year 11 academic pathway, knowing that they have lain the foundations for success. Whatever, comes they should feel proud.

This week we hope for success on the sports field, as our football teams compete in an incredible five county cup finals. To have so many teams represented is a tribute to the dedication of our students and staff. Good luck to our Under 12, Under 15 and Under 16 Girls, Our Under 14 and Under 18 Mixed Teams. Spectators are very much welcome to cheer us along. For match times see

Let’s hope we have more to celebrate when the week ends.
