After a full week back..

September 13, 2020 11:37 am

It was wonderful to welcome the return of all students last week to school. Students were eager and ready to learn and despite the tragic events that have affected all our community, students and staff were very pleased to be back. Keep an eye on our @KesgraveHigh twitter feed, for examples of students’ learning on their return to school – we are so impressed with them, we want to share it!

Our COVID-safe arrangements seemed to work well, with the exception of the departure from school at the end of the day. That is why we made an immediate change to further stagger the end of the school day. Students will now leave at the following times to support safe passage through the subway:

Normal day

3.00                 Year 7 and 8

3.10                 Year 9 and 10

3.20                 Year 11, 12 and 13

PSHE day

3.10                 Year 7 and 8

3.20                 Year 9 and 10

3.30                 Year 11, 12 and 13

Students in Year 7 and 8 who get buses will be asked to read their book while they wait within the zoned areas in the hall. Thank you to parents and carers for their understanding with this change.

My thanks go out to all our community, within and beyond school, in the most terrible of weeks. Our thoughts and prayers continue for those affected by the tragedy on Monday. We continue to provide a safe, consistent anchor to all and dedicated support to those who need it.
