A successful Autumn Term
December 20, 2024 10:25 amWe reach the end of the Autumn Term and a very successful one.
Please do read our Autumn newsletter, Acclaim, to see what we have been up to since September. ACCLAIM
As those of you who have been with us for a while will know, this termly newsletter celebrates the range of activities and achievements that have gone on over the last term. We hope to capture as much as possible, but equally know, such is the breadth, that we won’t manage to squeeze everything in. My thanks to all the staff and students for a super first term to this academic year. Thank you also, to our student editorial team, led by Mrs Tinsley, who manage to miraculously pull everything together.
This term we were absolutely delighted to be named in The Sunday Times Parent Power Guide 2025, as one of the top schools in East Anglia. Knowing that this recognition comes from the success of both the main school and our Sixth Form, in the summer 2024 examinations, demonstrates how hard all our staff work with students from Year 7 to Year 13, to help them to achieve their best. Of course, success to us means far more than being in such publications. We are proud of how we work with young people to combine their academic and holistic development. The last few years have been hard on this generation of young people, however, we won’t help them by standing still. We need to give them the tools to navigate all that the world today will bring.
We want to give students qualifications that will open doors in their future but equally we want to develop young people with a clear sense of self, young people who know who they are and from this, are able to take their place in the world confidently and comfortably. I hope that you see that wider side of school life in our Autumn edition of Acclaim.
I wish you and your family a peaceful and joyful Christmas break.
Miss Julia Upton
